เป็นนักประพันธ์ชาวโปแลนด์ เกิดเมื่อวันที่ 1 มีนาคม ค.ศ. 1810 เริ่มเรียนดนตรีตั้งแต่อายุหกขวบ และแต่งเพลงแรกเมื่ออายุเพียงเจ็ดขวบ Chopin ได้ชื่อว่าเป็นกวีผู้ที่มีความอ่อนไหวในความรัก ในช่วงที่เขาอาศัยอยู่ในกรุงปารีส  เขาได้ตกหลุมรักหญิงสาวนางหนึ่ง  จนเป็นแรงบันดาลใจให้แต่งเพลง Ballad No. 1 Opus 23 in G Minor ซึ่งมีความไพเราะ  และมีชื่อเสียงที่โด่งดังมากมาจนถึงทุกวันนี้

    ผลงานของ Chopin แทบทั้งหมดเป็นดนตรีสำหรับเปียโน ได้รับอิทธิพลทางดนตรีมาจาก Bach, Mozart และ Beethoven การแสดงเปียโนของ Chopin มีความโดดเด่นในเรื่องของนิ้วที่พลิ้วไหวรวดเร็ว นิ่มนวล และสวยงามในคราวเดียวกัน  จนกระทั่งมีการยกย่องว่าเขาคือ  โมสาร์ทคนที่ 2

         ช่วงเวลาที่เขาได้อาศัยอยู่ในปารีสนั้น ชื่อเสียงในการเล่นเปียโนอันดีเลิศ ของ Chopin ทำให้เขาถูกว่าจ้างให้เป็นผู้สอนเปียโน ผู้คนที่มีฐานะร่ำรวยต่างยอมที่จะจ่ายเงินจำนวนมาก เพื่อจะได้ส่งลูกหลานมาเรียนกับ ผลงานของเขาได้รับการยกย่องและมีคุณค่าทางจิตใจอย่างมาก จนกระทั่งเขาได้เสียชีวิตลงในวันที่ 17 ตุลาคม ปี  1849  ในกรุงปารีส  ประเทศฝรั่งเศส  จากโรควัณโรค ในขณะที่เขามีอายุเพียงแค่ 39 ปี

       Frédéric Chopin was a Polish composer. He was born on 1 March 1810. He began studying music when he was six years old and started composing his first song when he was only seven years old. Chopin was known for his romantic and sentimental sensibilities. When he lived in Paris, he fell in love with the woman who inspired him for composing Ballad No.1 Opus 23 in G Minor. It is one of Chopin's most popular works.

          Most of Chopin's compositions were for solo piano. Chopin’s style was greatly influenced by Bach, Mozart, and Beethoven. His style was based extensively on his use of a very independent finger technique. He gained a reputation as a "second Mozart”

          While staying in Paris, Chopin was known as an excellent piano teacher. Chopin was able to establish social contact with families of wealth. His piano compositions were highly influential. Chopin had suffered from tuberculosis and died on October 17, 1849, in Paris, at the age of 39.
